A knee that hurts after a weekend run does not always announce a serious injury. Often, the first clue is more ordinary: stairs feel awkward on Monday, getting out of a chair takes extra care, or the ache returns sooner during the next session.
In an initial appointment, the useful questions are practical. When did the symptom begin?
Did training, work or footwear change? Does the pain appear during activity, later that evening or the following morning? An assessment also considers movement, strength and function, rather than assigning importance only to the place that hurts. Those details help shape advice around the person’s actual week.
